BLIND CHANCE
Krzysztof Kieslowski
Fill in the blanks
Witek runs after a train. Three variations follow on how
such a seemingly
banal incident could influence the rest of Witek's life.
One: he catches the train and.................
Two: while running for the train he bumps into
a railway guard and.........
Three: he simply misses the train and ....................

similar movie in tamil - 12B,was taken with two variations.I wonder which one has been taken earlier.
ah yes I know what you're talking about. Blind Chance was shot MUCH earlier, 1987 if I am correct.
There IS one difference in the way Blind Chance and 12B are narrated though. In Blind Chance, the three stories are shown one after the other. The viewer first sees what happens to Witek's life if he got on the train, after which he/she sees what happens when he gets arrested instead, and lastly what happens when he just misses the train.
In 12B on the other hand the lives of both Shakti s happen parallelly. It is so well woven that it almost leads the viewer to believe that they might be two different characters, twins even. WHich isn't the case with Blind Chance.
Both films do end up with the 'successful' Witek/Shakti dying.
Do watch the film, there are many details in the film that DO tie it up very well.
:)
